Diplomatic Reception Honoring the French Republic

On February 7, WFLS held its landmark diplomatic reception honoring the French Republic in front of an audience of more than 200 attendees. For the first time in the history of the Society, the President of WFLS’ board of governors was a national of the country honored. After welcoming words from our President, he acting Legal Adviser, Richard Visek introduced the honoree, Ambassador Araud’s, whose remark were heartfelt. Thanks to the Embassy’s generosity, we enjoyed good music and wonderful champagne. The catering stepped up to the challenge raised by the country honored and the law library of the Library of Congress gratified us with a beautiful exhibition of manuscripts.

The event was sponsored by Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer, The Lycee Rochambeau aka the French International School and Emily Rae.
