The George Washington Law Review’s symposium, “Suing Foreign Sovereigns in U.S. Courts: Fifty Years of the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act"

The Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act (FSIA) turns 50 this year. To celebrate the anniversary, the George Washington Law Review is hosting a symposium about the FSIA on October 8-9. The event is free. More information and a link to register are available here. 

The symposium will begin with an Experts Panel from 4:00-5:30 on Thursday, October 8, at GW Law, featuring Judge Charles Brower, Mark Feldman, John Bellinger, Mary Catherine Malin, David Bowker, and Robert Kry. The event continues on October 9 in the Jack Morton Auditorium at GW. Panelists include Ingrid Brunk, Brad Clark, Bill Dodge, Maryam Jamshidi, Chimène Keitner, David Stewart, and Ed Swaine. Sir Michael Wood will deliver the Brand-Manatt Lecture from 1:30-2:30, discussing foreign official immunity.
