The Washington Foreign Law Society along with the American Society of International Law, ABA Section of International Law, and DC Bar International Law Section presents a special breakfast program with Aimen Mir, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Investment Security at the Treasury Department. Aimen will discuss and answer questions about the process followed by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) in its reviews of transactions involving foreign investment in the United States. The Investment Security office is not only responsible for the implementation of Treasury’s responsibilities as Chair of the CFIUS, but also leads Treasury’s open investment initiatives and dialogues with other countries as they relate to foreign investment review processes. A moderated discussion will track the 2009 OECD Guidelines for Recipient Country Investment Policies Relating to National Security.
