During the event, WFLS President Michael Teodori will be leading a brief discussion with Mark Feldman (former Acting Legal Adviser, US Department of State) and Robin Matthewman (career member of the Senior Foreign Service, now at the Association for Diplomatic Studies), on the WFLS’s first podcasts series, “Lessons Learned in Public Service“, based on Mark’s oral history done with the Association for Diplomatic Studies and Training (available here).
A networking reception, with drinks and light refreshments, will follow.

Mark B. Feldman has been working in law and foreign relations for sixty years, including teaching at Georgetown Law, private practice and as Deputy and Acting Legal Adviser at the State Department. He is best known for his work on the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act, Iran Claims Tribunal and the 1970 UNESCO Convention, but worked on many international crises and negotiations.
Robin Matthewman has joined the Association for Diplomatic Studies as a staff oral historian, after a 35-year career as a State Department Foreign Service officer. Her overseas diplomatic tours included economic, commercial, and consular tours in Mexico, Costa Rica, Russia, Honduras, and Iraq. She served as Deputy Chief of Mission in Uruguay and Costa Rica, and Principal Officer in Guadalajara as well as a brief stint in Curacao.
Michael Teodori is the President of the Washington Foreign Law Society, and a US Policy and Advocacy Specialist at Eni SpA.
