    The Washington Foreign Law Society is proud to be a cooperating organization for the American Society of International Law’s (ASIL) 109th Annual Meeting in Washington, DC, April 8-11, 2015.

    Keynote speakers for the conference will include:

    President and CEO Anne-Marie Slaughter of the New America Foundation; Director-General Ahmet Üzümcü of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons; Judge Kenneth Keith formerly of the International Court of Justice; Professor Pierre-Marie Dupuy of the Graduate Institute, Geneva; and Professor Michael Reisman of Yale Law School.

    Panel topics will include:

    Litigating the Counterterrorism Activities of the United States in Foreign Courts; How Do International Organizations Adapt to Change?; The Limits of Judicial Mechanisms for Developing and Enforcing International Environmental Norms; Does TTIP Need Investor-State Dispute Settlement?; and Comparative Perspectives on Executive Unilateralism in Foreign Affairs.

    Attendees may earn up to 20 hours of CLE credit from a choice of more than 40 substantive sessions, and non-ASIL member registrants receive one year of complimentary ASIL membership.
