Ruchi Gill is Senior Democratic Counsel for the U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, advising on legal matters and legislative activity related to U.S. foreign policy and national security. She previously worked as a senior associate at Covington & Burling LLP on a variety of international matters, including in connection with the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States, U.S. export controls and sanctions, and international arbitration.
She also served at the U.S. Department of State from 2007 to 2017 in various roles: an attorney-adviser and special assistant to the Legal Adviser, a foreign affairs officer in the Bureau of International Security and Nonproliferation, an economic officer in Guangzhou, China, and a paralegal specialist. Ruchi received a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and her undergraduate degree from Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service.
