Alexandra Bochnakova is an international lawyer licensed in France and in the United States, with over 15 years of transactional and litigation experience. She is currently working as Corporate and International Counsel at the Office of General Counsel at Finca Impact Finance, Washington DC, a microfinance institution with over 15 subsidiaries in emerging nations (Latin America, Africa, Middle East, South Asia and Eurasia).
Previously, she was Head of Corporate Affairs, at Pierre Fabre Group, France, working on corporate and regulatory matters with nearly one hundred companies of the Group in France and worldwide. In addition, she was the Corporate Secretary of the Board of Directors of the holding.
Prior to that, and for over 12 years, she was the founding partner of Law Offices of Alexandra Bochnakova, a boutique law firm focused on international business transactions and cross-border matters. The law firm supported corporate and individual clients with their investments, operations and market assessments in France and the USA, and in negotiating and drafting their contract, in the areas of sale of goods, services, procurement, transportation, and aviation.
As a litigator, Ms. Bochnakova particularly focused on civil and commercial litigation.
She holds an LL.M in International Business and Economic Law from Georgetown University (USA), a PhD in Comparative Law and a Master in Business Law from the Université de Toulouse 1, Capitole (France). She also has a Certificate in International Arbitration and Dispute Resolution from Georgetown University Law Center.
Ms. Bochnakova speaks Bulgarian, English, French, Russian and Spanish.
