WFLS members include attorneys from private law firms, governmental agencies, corporations and international organizations, as well as professors of law, jurists, students of international and comparative law, and persons with no legal background, but with a passion for foreign and international issues. The Society welcomes the membership of law students and young attorneys.

Members of the Washington Foreign Law Society are entitled to a membership discount at all WFLS events that are open to the public and preferred treatment for events with limited capacity.  Only WFLS members and their invited guests may attend members-only events.  Members in good standing are eligible to submit nominations for the Society's annual Harry LeRoy Jones Award and to vote on the conduct of WFLS affairs at its general membership assemblies, which occur at least annually.

Sustaining members of the Society receive special recognition for their added contributions to the Society in our Annual Report.    Sustaining membership contributions are used to fund limited-availability discounts for students and WFLS members who are government or non-profit employees at Society events.  Because the WFLS is a 501(c)(3) organization, contributions by sustaining members over and above the general dues rate are tax deductible.  Please consider becoming a sustaining member.
